Obituary of Ezora Marie Marini

Ezora Marie Marini, 88, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Orlando Marini, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, October 6, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. Born April 12, 1926, in Hartford to the late Gino and Rosa Gregorini, Ezora attended Bridgeport Central High School, and worked as a bookkeeper prior to marrying her husband on October 18, 1952. Ezora was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and entertaining, and took pride in her Italian heritage. Her kitchen was the heart of her home and it was there where she excelled and generously entertained family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Joseph Marini and his wife Pamela of Tewksbury, New Jersey, Robert and his wife Sheila of Trumbull, and Gene and his wife Ellen of Monroe; her four cherished grandsons, Brian Marini and his wife Christina of Monroe, Daniel Marini of Monroe, Matthew Marini and Michael Marini of Trumbull, her great grandson, Brian Christian Marini; her sister-in-law Anna Marini of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister and best friend Diana Bonvini, and in-laws George Bonvini, Sebastian and Gina Marini, and Dominic Marini. The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional home care provided by The Jewish Home for the Elderly of Fairfield. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, (alz.org), 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
