To know the son is to know that Kenneth Thomas was, in every way, a fine man whose life was well-lived. Please accept our sincere sympathy at the news of his unexpected passing. May only the dearest of memories be yours in the days ahead.

Mr. Thoman was a great man. His service to us in Troop 65 was irreplaceable. Many of us will always remember the sound of his voice, singing us a reveille at camp. I will always be grateful for the way he listened without judgment, and helped me wrestle with my anger without ever growing frustrated with me or showing impatience or anger in return. I hope I can live up to the example he set for us. God bless you, and may you rest in peace.

My family has enjoyed the many moments shared with Ken and Louise at the lake and at our home for cookouts and gatherings. Nicolas and I have great memories of Ken on troop campouts and at Yawgoog for summer camp. He was an exemplary leader, leading by example and extolling the virtues of simplicity when it came to camping techniques. Everyone enjoyed his stories and following him on his countless hikes, even when they went on for longer than originally planned. His simple sense of humor and ability to laugh at himself endeared him to all of us. We feel privileged to have had the pleasure of knowing Ken, and we extend our sympathy and condolences to the entire Thoman Family.

So sorry. Ken was a good brother to me. He (and you Louise), had a great positive influence on my life. I'm sure he had the same influence on many others in the Navy, Boy Scouts and at American.
I will miss him, as I'm sure you all will, along with Uncle Albert.
Uncle Willie
