Obituary of Angelo J. D'Andria

Angelo J. D'Andria, age 94, of Stratford passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Sadie Calcagno D'Andria. Born in New York, New York on January 9, 1921, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Grace Mari D'Andria. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, he later worked as a self-employed barber after taking over his father's shop in Jackson Heights for many years before retiring and moving on to other endeavors. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his three loving daughters, Patricia Lieberman and her husband Peter of Houston, TX, Barbara Jarosko and her husband William, Sr. of Trumbull and Carolyn D'Andria of Stratford. His six cherished grandchildren, James Lieberman and his wife Deana, Kenneth Lieberman and his wife Sarah, Thomas Lieberman and his wife Melissa, Charles Poisella, Christopher Poisella and his wife Ashley and William Jarosko, Jr and his wife Des, eight adored great grandchildren, Blake, Toni, Kenedy, Kacee, Julian, Miles, William Jarosko, III and Greyson. In addition to his beloved wife of 67 years, Sadie, he was also predeceased by five sisters. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
