Obituary of Josephine H. Bianchi

Josephine H. Bianchi, age 91, of Shelton, a retired sales associate for Bradlees, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care, Stratford. Born in Bridgeport on March 18, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Delzio Scappatura. Josephine was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Toscano, her second husband, Louis Bianchi and her brother, Anthony Scappatura. Survivors include her two daughters, Donna and her husband Kenneth and Diane and her husband Enrico, a stepdaughter, Mary, five sisters, Catherine Castaldo, Mary Keane, Yolanda Caramanica, Mafalda Covino and Joan Mas and her husband James, two granddaughters, a great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Avenue, Shelton, on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
