Obituary of Lillian J. Bavolacco
Lillian (Mama) MacDaniel Bavolacco, age 78, beloved wife of the late John Bavolacco Jr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 surrounded by family. Born in Bridgeport on December 18, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Agnes Barnwell MacDaniel. Lillian was employed by St. Vincent's Medical Center, where she had over 30 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed her many trips to Mohegan Sun Casino.
Mama was a dedicated mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family and treasured the time spent with her grandchildren. She wasn't just a mother and a grandmother but Lillian was a hero to all. She fought courageously and her strong will and love will continue to live on in her family. She will truly be missed.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant son as well as six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include four children, Jim Bavolacco and his wife Michelle, Gina Fawver and her husband Mark, Kevin Bavolacco and his wife Tammy and John Bavolacco all of Stratford, 10 cherished grandchildren, James Jr., Joshua, Kelly, Lisa, Joseph, Jacqueline, Gina, Jessica, Jamie and John, two great grandchildren, Frankie and Payton, a brother, Floyd MacDaniel and his wife Mary of Shelton, a sister Maryann Freitas of Shelton, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her canine companions, Hannah, Baby and Texas. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Constellation Home Care for all of the Care provided to Lillian.
All funeral services were private. Burial took place in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
