Obituary of Angelina Rea Paul

Angelina Rea Paul, age 97, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Angie was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport. She was a whirlwind of energy helping all she came in contact with and she was loved by everyone. She was a woman with many talents; Angie the fashion designer and pattern maker, the seamstress, artist, illustrator, sewing teacher, tap dancer, reader to school children, president of her senior citizens building association and founder of the Bear Club, just to name a few of her accomplishments. She was born of Italian immigrants, attended Bassick High School and later graduated from the Traphagen School of Fashion in New York. She is predeceased by her parents, Josephine and Dominic Rea, her husband Frank Paul, her grandson Robert Paul and her brothers, Pat and Tony Rea, her sisters, Betty Peluso and Alice Rea. She is survived by her son, Bill Paul and his wife Gloria of Trumbull, a daughter, Shanti (Jean Paul) Forte and her husband James Forte of Oakland, CA, her four grandchildren, Bill Paul, Jr. of Trumbull, John Paul and his wife Heather of Shelton, Jaime Dal Porto and her husband Joseph of Belmont, CA and Randy Powley of Columbus, OH, three great grandchildren, Nicholas and Megan Dal Porto and Emily Marie Paul. She is also survived by brothers, Alfred Rea of Milford and Ben Rea and his wife Millie of Bridgeport and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
