Obituary of Richard B. Kaminski

Richard B. Kaminski, age 63, of Trumbull passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence. Born in Bridgeport on January 19, 1952, he was the son of the late Bernard J. and Josephine Kohout Kaminski. Richard was a graduate of Kolbe Cathedral High School and Fairfield University where he majored in English. He was employed by General Electric for over 22 years where he worked in the sales division. He began his career in North Carolina then spent time in Chicago before finally settling in Indianapolis, where he raised his family. Most recently he was the general manager of Calabro Cheese in East Haven before his retirement. An avid car enthusiast, he also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. Rich will best be remembered for his generosity to everyone in his life, both with his time, skills and monetarily. He had a gift for becoming friends with everyone he came in contact with however, his greatest passion was found in spoiling his beloved daughter, Katherine. Survivors include his daughter, Katherine Kaminski of Indianapolis, IN, his companion Nancy Kelly of Cheshire, his best friend John Filakovsky of Trumbull and a son, Michael Kaminski. He is also survived by many close friends, too numerous to mention. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
