Obituary of Heinrich K. Keese

Heinrich K. "Red" Keese, age 85, of Myrtle Beach, SC, beloved husband of the late Kay Collins Keese, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 29, 1929, he was a longtime resident of Stratford before retiring to South Carolina. Red served in the US Army for 8 years in West Germany during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class in 1955. When he retired from Sikorsky Aircraft in 1990 he moved to SC to enjoy his passion for golf. Red was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees, and UCONN women's basketball teams. Survivors include brothers, Ralph Keese and his wife Nancy of Trumbull and Frederick Keese of Stratford; nieces, Sharon Tilley and her husband Jack of Southbury, Susan Keese of England, Sally Ferri and her husband Jeffrey of Trumbull, and Christine Keese; and nephew Frederick Keese Jr; great nieces and nephews; and his special cat 'CC'. The family wishes to extend a warm and sincere thank you to Red's dear friends in both Connecticut and South Carolina and especially to Loretta D. and Lester R. in SC for their special friendships and dedicated support over the years. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
