Obituary of Susan M. DiStassio

Susan M. DiStassio, age 94, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late John DiStassio, died on March 17, 2015 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born August, 29, 1920 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Mary Pannicia, and worked for many years for the H.L. Green Co.. At Holy Rosary Church, Sue was a member of the St. Theresa Guild, the Ministry to the Sick and Seniors Society. Survivors include two sons, John DiStassio and his wife Margaret of Trumbull and Robert DiStassio of Bridgeport, two grandchildren, Brian DiStassio and his wife Diane and Kristen Bollini and her husband Joseph, and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband John, she was predeceased by her three sisters, Edith, Jennie and Phyllis. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrews Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. There are no calling hours.
