Obituary of David M. Wowk

David M. Wowk, age 25, of Trumbull, beloved son of Michael and Lisa (Lynch) Wowk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Norwalk on March 15, 1990, David grew up in Trumbull. He attended Booth Hill Elementary and Hillcrest Middle School, and graduated from Trumbull High School in 2008. He attended Mount Ida College and Western Connecticut State University, where he played football. He was employed as a crew member for Happy Grass LLC. David had a zest for life that impacted all who knew him. He will be remembered for his big heart, infectious laugh and quick wit. He valued his family and friends more than anything else, and will truly be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his loving parents, survivors include a brother, Christopher Wowk and his wife Lara of Clinton as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Michael Sr. and Winifred Wowk and maternal grandparents, Michael and Josephine Lynch. The family would like to thank the Trumbull EMS, Bridgeport Hospital ER and ICU and the CTICU at Yale New Haven Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care given to David. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may call on Friday April 3, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the above organizations.
