Obituary of Margaret M. Chuka

Margaret M. Alfano Chuka, age 97, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Stephen P. Chuka Sr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Joseph's Manor with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on February 18, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John and Concetta Giannone Alfano. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cared deeply for her family. Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by a son, Peter Chuka Sr. and her two sisters, Jean Irtoli and Mary Savo. Survivors include her two loving sons, Jack Chuka Sr. and his wife Ann of Shelton, and Stephen Chuka Jr., and his wife Bonnie of Derby, a daughter-in-law, Diane Chuka of Trumbull, four cherished grandchildren, Peter Chuka Jr., and his wife Wendy, Daniel Chuka and his wife Deanna, Jack Chuka Jr. and his wife Susana and Amy Reilly and her husband Paul, five adored great grandchildren, Daniella, Dominick, Joe, Jake and Tony, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854.
