Obituary of Dominic Ginnetti

Dominic Ginnetti, age 92, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Julia Latanzi Ginnetti, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Follansbee, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Esther Amela Ginnetti. Before his retirement, Mr. Ginnetti was the owner and operator of Ginnettis Clam Box along with his wife Julia for many years. Dominic was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a Sheriff in the Bridgeport court system. Survivors include a son, Joseph P. Ginnetti and his wife Barbara of Shelton, a daughter, Nancy Still of Shelton, a brother, Joseph Ginnetti of Trumbull, two sisters, Jennie Pellegrino of Fairfield and Bessie DeMaio of Bridgeport and five grandchildren, Julie Bachlechner and her husband Eric, Kareen Collazo and her husband Ramon, Nicole Still, Robert Husted and his wife Shani, Shannon Yannes and her husband Mike, eight great grandchildren, Ella, Tyler, Natalia, Allison, Michael, Mathew, Alexandria and Greyson and his four beloved dogs, Nima, Oscar, Sundae and Tinker. He was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Acavello. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
