Obituary of Mary B. Prusak

Mary B. Prusak, age 95, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late John A. Prusak, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on September 19, 1920. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Yash. She retired from the D.M. Read Company and worked for the Frisbee Pie Company as a teenager. She was an active member of Group 2, Wreath 1 of the Slovak Catholic Sokols. Mary enjoyed a variety of hobbies including gardening and crocheting. Her button towels still hang in the many homes of family and friends. Survivors include her loving son, John V. Prusak and his wife Allison of Willington, her daughter-in-law, Judith Vitello Prusak, three beloved grandchildren, Robert J. Prusak Jr. and his wife Melissa, Susan Prusak and Geoffrey Prusak and two cherished great grandchildren, Robert J. Prusak III and Sadie Rose Prusak. Also, nephews Richard and John Widomski as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Robert J. Prusak and her sister, Cecilia Widomski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, followed by burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford.
