Obituary of Emil Morales

Emil Morales, age 86, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Arcadia Gonzalez Morales, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on February 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Francisco and Rosa Santiago Morales. Mr. Morales was a member of the Air National Guard in Puerto Rico. In 1948 he was trained in radio repair at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to New York City. He moved to Bridgeport in 1952 where he resided for the remainder of his life. He was a Personnel and Quality Control manager for Valve Corporation of America (later acquired by Ethyl Corp.), for over 45 years before his retirement. Emil was an avid member of the Cuban Club of Bridgeport for several years and also enjoyed the time he spent during his retirement as a greeter at Stop and Go Transmission in Bridgeport. In addition to Arcadia, his wife of 40 years, survivors include four sons, Richard of New York, Emil and his wife Jody of San Diego, CA, Ronald and his wife Donna of Branford, and Al and his wife Judi of Niantic, two daughters, Grisel and her husband Otto of Trumbull and Elena and her husband Michael of Berlin, NH, four sisters, Angelita, Aida, Rosa and Margarita, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
