Obituary of Pierce Henry Wall, Jr.

Pierce Henry Wall Jr, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Lorraine Shea Wall, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Pierce Henry and Agnes Castille Wall. Pierce was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, working 38 dedicated years at the South Ave, facility in Bridgeport. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he proudly served his country in the Korean War. Pierce was born in Fairfield, CT and graduated from Rodger Ludlow High School. He raised his family in Monroe, where he lived for 40 years. Those close to Pierce knew of his love of fishing, smoking a nice cigar or enjoying a glass of B&B. Pierce was a great husband, loving father and a caring man, who will be greatly missed. Pierce was predeceased by his first wife Barbara (DiCarlo) Wall, and siblings William Wall and Mary Andrews. In addition to his wife Lorraine, survivors include five children, Christopher Wall and Daniel Pierce Wall, both of Oxford, Patricia Lazarra and her husband William of Monroe, Andrew Wall and his wife Lori of Newtown and Jennifer Wall of Seymour, five stepchildren, Michael Shea and his wife Elizabeth, Paul Shea and his wife Mary all of Trumbull, Diane Roberts and her husband John of Boca Raton, FL, Karen Caiola and her husband Sam of Trumbull and Jennifer Scott of Green Acres, FL; and 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Thomas Andrews, and his wife Jan of Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, Trumbull. Interment with military honors will follow in Monroe Center Cemetery, Monroe. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry c/o Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 275 Union Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06607.
