Obituary of Marcy I. Serrano

Marcy I. Serrano, age 55, of Bridgeport passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Jose Serrano. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, on August 28, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Rosendo and Inez Kay Morrison Rodriguez. Marcy worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for many years and later became the dementia Program Coordinator at Northbridge Health Care Center for the previous 15 years. She also created many friendships throughout her 20 years of service at Xpect Discount. Her huge heart and compassion for others touched the lives of many people and was evident through her active volunteer work and involvement with numerous charitable organizations. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband of 33 years, Jose, other survivors include her children, Angela Serrano, Carlos Serrano and Jose Serrano and his wife Arpie, all of Bridgeport, a step-son, Richard Serrano and his wife Carmen of FL, a step-daughter, Yetsenia Serrano of Puerto Rico, her six cherished grandchildren, Aisaia, Christian, Jayden, Aiden, William and Alex, her brother, Albert Rodriguez and sister, Debra Rodriguez, both of NJ, as well as other brothers and sisters, Jamaz, Christopher, Aniese and Christina Rodriguez, all of NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 1463 Highland Ave., Cheshire, CT 06410. Interment will be held in the Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ.
