Obituary of Harvey E. Pomerenk

Harvey E. Pomerenk, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Norma Menucci Pomerenk, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Jewish Home in Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on October 14, 1925, he was a son of the late Fred and Olga Pomerenk. Harvey was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and after serving his country he worked as a backhoe operator with the Southern CT Gas Company for many years before his retirement. Survivors include two children, Gary Pomerenk and his wife Amy and Karen Papcun and her husband Glenn, all of Naugatuck, a sister, Dorothy Ballerini of Monroe and five grandchildren, Brandon and Caylee Pomerenk, Glenn Jr., Jeffrey and Jennifer Papcun, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ray Pomerenk. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main St., Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
