Obituary of Richard A. DelGais

Richard A. DelGais, age 68, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Holly Reinhardt DelGais, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015 at his home. Born and raised in Bridgeport he was a son of Nellie D'Eramo DelGais of Bridgeport and the late Gennaro DelGais. He was a retired plumber having worked for Forger-Kunkel Plumbing and Heating for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time tending to his home and yard. But above all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his mother, Nellie, survivors include three loving daughters, Michelle Garrity and her husband Brian of Sandy Hook, Bethany Eastman of Wallingford and Nicole DelGais Concepcion and her husband Will of Stratford, five cherished and adored grandchildren, Ashleigh, Aidan and Kieran Garrity and Hunter and Quinn Eastman, a brother Michael DelGais and his wife Elaine of Monroe, a sister, Donna Chop of Oxford, as well as four nephews, whom Richard loved very much. He also leaves to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Chop. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
