Obituary of Frank A. Ferrari

Shelton resident and New York native, Frank Alfred Ferrari, age 69, passed away at home, Monday, February 15, 2016. Born in the Bronx, New York on Sept. 19, 1946 to the late Joseph and Elma Consigli Ferrari. Frank was proud to be a United States Army veteran. Frank will be sorely missed by the love of his life and wife of over 40 years, Elizabeth Kirwan Ferrari. He is survived by his loving children Jerrod Ferrari and Ellen Litwinovich and her husband, Paul. Frank absolutely adored his four grandchildren; Liam, Norah, Eloise and Alice. He was genuinely a family man and will be greatly missed by his sister Mary Weis, of Yonkers, NY, and her husband Richard, in addition to several nieces and nephews. Frank attended Bridgeport Engineering Institute obtaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering. A master draftsman, Frank moved his way through various engineering positions. He was a hardworking man and known for his sweet nature and sensitive heart. Frank loved to be outside working and enjoyed growing a full garden each season. His Italian ingenuity could fix any problem around the house, and he prided himself on making sure life was comfortable for his family. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
