Obituary of Patsy Dogali

Patsy Dogali, age 95, of Stratford, beloved husband of Ann Marie Maceyunas Dogali, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 15, 1920, he was a son of the late Michael and Josephine Perrilli Dogali. A U.S. Army veteran having served honorably during World War II, Patsy landed and fought in the Guadalcanal Campaign. Mr. Dogali had also been employed as a bus driver for the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority before his retirement with over 25 years of dedicated service. Patsy was an avid gardener and found great enjoyment working in his yard and listening to music. Better remembered for his great sense of humor, Patsy was happiest when he was spending time at home with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife Ann Marie of 69 years, other survivors include his loving children, Carol Ann Bender and her husband James of Bridgeport and Michael J. Dogali and his wife Jacqueline of Shelton and four cherished grandchildren, Patricia Ann Teixeira and her husband German, Jimmy P. Bender and his wife Stacey, Laura Samson and her husband Orion and Kristen Sura and her husband Ryan. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, Rebecca, Justin, Jimmy, Katie and Gemma as well as several nieces and nephews. Patsy was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Nicholas, Tony and James Dogali and sisters, Mary Vertucci, Anna Costello, Concetta Dogali and Teresa Dumas. Funeral services take place on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Patsy's nephew, Rev.
