Obituary of Phyllis J. Gagliardi

Phyllis J. Sansieri Gagliardi, age 63, beloved wife of Alfred E. Gagliardi, Jr. of Trumbull, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport on May 1, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Alfano Sansieri. Phyllis was a Patient Account Representative at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Trumbull. She was an avid walker, loved the outdoors and enjoyed shopping. However, spending time with her family and friends was most important to her. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband Alfred of nearly 40 years, survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Moss and her husband Jason of Seneca, SC and Kristin Gagliardi of Norwalk, a brother, Patrick Sansieri and his wife Carol of Wexford, PA, her twin sister, Alberta Vagnini and her husband Robert of Trumbull, grandsons, Landon and Luke Moss, and close friends, Linda Marini and her husband Enrico of Trumbull, Jeannie St. Onge and her husband Norman of Stratford and Barbara Resnick and her husband Jay of Orange as well as many other friends. The family would like to thank Drs. Neal Fischbach, Ronald Salem and Alan Nelson for providing Phyllis with such personal and loving care. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
