Obituary of Joseph Miceli

Joseph Miceli, age 90, beloved husband of Frances M. Miceli of Trumbull, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Manor. Born on March 28, 1926 in Ribera, Sicily, Italy, a son of the late Andrew and Francesca Giordano Miceli and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. Before his retirement, Joseph was a union carpenter with Local 210 for over 35 years. He enjoyed gardening and traveling to Florida, but above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Frances, of 67 years, he is survived by his loving children, Andrea Miceli Prushko and her husband Anthony of Avon, Joseph Miceli of Trumbull, two cherished granddaughters, Jennifer Morizio and her husband David and Lisa Prushko and her fiancé Dan Blanchette and his sister-in-law, Mimma Miceli of Sciacca, Sicily, Italy as well as many nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank and Pasquale Miceli. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Manor and St. Vincent’s Medical Center for all the care they provided. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
