Obituary of Anna S. Paglia

Anna S. Vitulano Paglia, age 94, beloved wife of Marino Paglia of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born on March 17, 1922 in San Severo, Province of Foggia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Filomena Vitulano. Before her retirement, Anna worked for many years as a seamstress at the former Rose Dress Company. A devout Catholic, she was a long time parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Bridgeport. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals for everyone who came to her home. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband Marino of 63 years, Anna is survived by her loving children, Joseph Paglia and his wife Carla of Lancaster, CA, and Adele Gustafson of Milford; two sisters, Mary L'Altrella and Gina Klein and her husband William, all of Bridgeport; four loving grandchildren, Erica Beers and her husband Charles, James Gustafson, Jr. and his wife Stacey, Analysse Butler and her husband Ty and Gabrielle Paglia and five cherished great grandchildren, Christopher and Sophia Beers, Ava and James Joseph III "JJ" Gustafson and Katalina Butler as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Vitulano, a sister, Lina Pontonio and a son-in-law, James Gustafson, Sr. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.
