Obituary of Ruth L. Piscitelli

Ruth Burgess Piscitelli, age 83, of Monroe and formerly of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Vincent Piscitelli, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on February 17, 1933 she was a daughter of the late George Sr. and Kate DawGaw Burgess. A friend to all, Ruth enjoyed walking throughout her neighborhoods in Monroe and Fairfield, sometimes up to six miles a day. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother always putting the needs of her family first. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Survivors include her four children, Maryellen Ruth Hurd and her husband Cliff of NY, Rosemarie Pamela DiSanto of Fairfield, Francesco George Piscitelli and his wife Ruth of Monroe and Kim Lorraine Falsetti and her husband Bert of Shelton; four sisters, Alice Waller of Monroe, Laura Tischbein of Kentucky, Naomi Ball of Pennsylvania and Katherine Finch of Tennessee, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four great great granddaughters as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother George (Buddy) A. Burgess Jr, a sister Betty Plisko, a grandson and a great grandson. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
