Obituary of Irene V. D'Andrea

Irene V. Wislowski D'Andrea, age 78, beloved wife of Frank D'Andrea, passed away on October 1, 2016 at Bridges by Epoch in Trumbull, CT from complications from Lewy Body Dementia. Born in Dupont, PA on December 9, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Roman and Mary Gibey Wislowski and was a longtime resident of Shelton. Irene was a Cardiac Diagnostic Radiographer for 30 years with Cardiac Associates of Fairfield and took great pride in tending to her patients. Irene was a prolific reader and was fond of her vast library of books and old movies. She was a devout Catholic, attending mass daily. Her great love in life was her husband Frank, her family, and her golden retriever Amber. In addition to her beloved husband Frank of 58 years, survivors include four adoring children, Laura Mosher and her husband Tom of Darien, Roxanne Herlihy and her husband Rich of Shelton, Michael D'Andrea and his wife Mindy of Southington, and Christen D'Andrea and her husband Mark Sticca of Darien, nine grandchildren Katherine and Alec Mosher, Richard, Christopher, Matthew and Elizabeth Herlihy, Jasmin and Jordan D'Andrea and Marianna Sticca, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Victor and John Wislowski and four sisters, Mary Berry, Dorothy Gordon, Pauline Blake and Ethel Kalish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton. Entombment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Arrangements in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Bridges especially Nicole, the staff of Caring Hospice; and nephew Bobby Cicero for his devoted attention.
