Obituary of Anthony T. Donofri

Anthony T. Donofri, age 81, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, in St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on February 21, 1935, he was the son of the late Carl and Josephine Damiani Donofri. A retired employee of Perkin Elmer, Tony had also worked as a mechanic at the former Russell Chevrolet. He enjoyed cooking and baking for his family and proudly served as the family handyman. He also enjoyed watching his nephew coach Shelton High School Football. Survivors include two loving sisters, Marge Roberts of Bridgeport and Marie Roy and her husband Joseph of Shelton, a niece, Michele Saxton and her husband Sean, nephews, Jeffrey Roy and his wife Kim, and Carl, Tom and Brian Donofri, two cherished and adored great nephews, Brady and Luke, his dear friend, Jim Bredice of Monroe as well as many other cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Donofri and brother-in-law, Ernest D. Roberts Jr. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
