Obituary of Mary Dolores Roberto

Mary Dolores Marranzino Roberto, "Gram", age 90, a long-time Trumbull resident, passed peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 31, 2016. Born in Bridgeport on January 18, 1926, Mary was a daughter of the late Philip and Rose (Nastasia) Marranzino. Mary was a proud graduate of Harding High School, joining the work force shortly after graduation, she held various jobs until her retirement. A woman of strong faith, Mary was an active parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the choir. She was a loyal UCONN Women's Basketball fan, loved to watch a good football game, enjoyed lunches and manicures with her sisters and niece. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family- it meant the world to her and she meant the world to us. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her devoted children, Joseph and his wife Patricia of Trumbull, and Chris and his wife Lisa of Shelton, her adored grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Melissa, Meredith and her wife Cassandra, Rachel, Leah and her husband Jeff, Alaina and Christopher, three cherished great grandchildren, Gabriel, Juliana and Josephine. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Florence and Rose, a special niece Carol and several nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Rocco. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses Services of CT, 23 Cambridge Dr. Suite 202, Trumbull, CT 06611.
