Obituary of Jean M. Criscione
Jean M. Dwyer Criscione, age 89, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Giovanni (John) Criscione, passed away at home on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Born in Bridgport on January 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late James and Anna Nolan Dwyer. Jean was a dispatcher at Bridgeport Hospital for over 20 years before her retirement. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Ambrose Church, Bridgeport, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and a past president of the seniors club. She enjoyed knitting, bingo and had a passion for reading but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include three children, Ann Marie Jalbert and her husband Peter of Granbury, TX, Joan MacEvitt and her husband James of Denver CO and George Criscione and his wife Denice Green of Milford, a brother, William Dwyer of FL, six cherished grandchildren, Peter and Patrick Jalbert, Brian and Erica Criscione and Megan and Samantha MacEvitt and a great grandson, Joseph Jalbert as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Catherine Dwyer, Patricia Olson and Mary Olenick and two brothers, James and Jack Dwyer.
Friends are invited to meet directly in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave., Stratford on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
