Obituary of Helen P. Tayfun

Helen Prezioso Tayfun passed away peacefully in Middlebury Convalescent Home on Monday, January 16, 2017 at age 93. Born in Simpson, PA in 1923, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Prebich. Helen was predeceased by her sisters, Anna, Julia and Mary and brothers, Andrew, Stephen, Michael and Joseph. She is survived by her brother, John Prebich of Mayfield, PA and sister, Evelyn Millon of Waymart, PA; two daughters, Charlotte Prezioso Rahrig (Frank) of Middlebury and Linda Prezioso Broadhurst (Victor) of Bridgeport; three granddaughters; two great granddaughters; and three great grandsons. Helen spent her early years working in New York City. The war years brought her to Bridgeport and eventually a career as an assembler at Sikorsky Aircraft. She enjoyed a simple life, not caring much for material possessions, preferring to give rather than receive. "Nana" easily made everyone laugh and smile, whether a family member, friend, healthcare worker or stranger. She truly will be missed by all. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
