Obituary of Frances A. Briganti

Frances A. Briganti, age 84, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Briganti, Sr. Born in Bridgeport on May 30, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Saverio (Sam) and Helen Gmitter Trovarelli. A graduate of Sacred Heart University, where she received her Associate's Degree in Business. Mrs. Briganti had been employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield where she worked as a Human Resource Specialist for many years before her retirement. A devout Catholic, her faith was extremely important to her and evident through her longtime active participation as a parishioner of Christ the King Church. She cherished the time she spent vacationing with her family and playing cards with her friends.A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving son, Paul J. Briganti, Jr. of Stratford; cherished grandchildren, Jessica Oliva and her husband Phil, Jr. of Somers, NY and Paul J. Briganti, III of Los Angeles, CA; three adored great grandchildren, Philip III, Daniela and Luke Oliva; three brothers, Joseph J. Trovarelli, Sr. and his wife Ann of Bridgeport. Robert J. Trovarelli and his wife Antoinette of Stratford and John A. Trovarelli and his wife Susan of Derby. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.The family would like to thank Frances' niece, Diana and CT Hospice for their loving care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. DIRECTLY in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
