Obituary of Julia M. Passalacqua

Julia M. Nappi Passalacqua, age 95, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor P. Passalacqua. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Bettina Speizia Nappi. A retired employee of Dictaphone, Julia was formerly employed by Singer during World War II and the former Buckle Shop. Deeply involved in her faith, she was a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Church, and a early member of the Marion Guild. But most of all, her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her family and cooking and baking. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Victor Passalacqua of Oxford, and Elizabeth Telesha of Griswold, her grandson, David Telesha, a sister Caroline Wohlforth of Westport, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Gabe, Joe & Louis Nappi and sisters, Philomena Gallucci, Mary Ann Candido, Rose Cellini and Frances Nappi. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
