Obituary of Anne Brignolo Hourcle

Anne Brignolo Hourcle, age 94, of Longview, WA passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Northwest Continuum of Care at Kindred in Washington State. Mrs. Hourcle had been a resident of Canterbury Park since 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Laurent P. Hourcle. Born in Bridgeport, CT on June 25, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Bartholomew and May Smith Brignolo. Anne had lived in and out of New York City for 25 years where she was involved in show business and the theater. She also attended the School of Russian Ballet in New York City and traveled extensively throughout the country. Anne later inherited the Brignolo Studio from her father, which he had founded in 1912. She had worked as a master portrait photographer for 50 years before her retirement in 2009. The business had been in operation for 97 years. She is survived by her devoted children, Larry Hourcle and his wife June Wortman of Maine and Julie Hourcle and her husband Richard Paynter of Longview, WA, her grandchildren, Larry Hourcle and his wife Allison, and Joseph and Chris Hourcle, her niece, Toni Lowe and her husband Ken and a nephew, Joseph Brignolo and his wife Donna. She is also survived by many great grandchildren. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
