Obituary of Thomas L. Husar

Loving Husband, Father & Grandfather Thomas S. Husar, age 68, of Shelton, a retired truck driver, died peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2010 at his residence. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of Verleda Sanford Husar of Bridgeport and the late Thomas Husar. He was a longtime member of Teamsters Local 443 and retired from Local 191. Tom enjoyed working on cars and model trains, but his greatest joy was being a grandfather. In addition to his mother, survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Sheila Doolan Husar, a son, James Husar and his wife Jessica of Oxford, a daughter, Susan Skoronski and her husband Matthew of Shelton, his four cherished grandchildren, Paige Husar, Matthew Skoronski Jr., James Husar Jr. and Sarah Rose Skoronski, a brother, Robert Husar and his wife Jean of Shelton, two sisters, Verleda Shomsky of Shelton and Shirley Bayusik and Robert of Shelton, sister in law, Elizabeth Pratt of Milford, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved son, John E. Husar. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
