Obituary of Carol Marie Corris

Carol Marie Cyr Corris, age 80, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Robert J. Corris, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford with her family by her side. Born on December 14, 1936 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Josephine Mickolaychuk Cyr. Family was the most important thing to her and she found her greatest joy spending time with her great grandson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her three loving children, Donna Smith and her husband Gregory of Fairfield, Theresa Jarzynski and her husband Peter of Trumbull, and Robert Corris of North Carolina; her adored six grandchildren, Jeffrey Jarzynski and his wife Kelly of Shelton, Christopher Jarzynski (USN) of Virginia Beach, Matthew Smith of Norwalk, Jennifer and Joanna Smith, both of Washington, D.C., and Mykaela Hannappel of South Carolina; a cherished great grandson, Zachery Michael Jarzynski; her sister Jacqueline McCarthy of Berlin; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Helen Corris of Shelton, Richard Corris of Shelton, Jack and Dotti Corris of Florida, and John Bertig of Naugatuck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
