Obituary of Sebastian Gabrielli

Sebastian (Sam) Gabrielli, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Florence Dalto Gabrielli, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center with his family by his side. Born and raised in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Ceaser and Elvira Mattarsini Gabrielli, and was a Trumbull resident over 55 years. Sam was a retired welder for Dresser Industries of Stratford, and a member of Teamsters Local 145.

In addition to his wife Flo, of 68 years, survivors include his son, Gary Gabrielli of Stratford and his daughter, Debra Waldman of Trumbull, two grandchildren, Lia and Matthew Gabrielli and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Betty Marini, Armonda Vetro and Gina Saputo, niece, Lilly Fasano and her husband Mike, and nephews, Edward Boyle, Matthew Vetro, Russell Sweeney, and George and Sandi Marini.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff on the 8th floor ICU at St. Vincent Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
