Obituary of Secondo R. Gori
Secondo R. Gori, age 90, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Dolores Genevieve Boscaini Gori, passed to the arms of our Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018. A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, he was predeceased by his parents, Marsilio and Lucrezia Campanile Gori. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran having served honorably during World War II. He then worked as a plumber for the Union Local 777 with over 45 years of dedicated service before his retirement.
He is survived by three loving children, Joseph Gori and his wife Alice R. Leber of Oxford, Linda Mennillo and her husband Nicholas of Bridgeport and John Gori and his wife Rose of Milford, two sisters-in-law, Elaine Edgerton of Monroe and Jeanette Coburn of PA, six grandchildren, Sarah Gori, Ariel Baker, Robin Bowles, Nicole Mennillo, Kristen Mennillo and Andrea Messenger, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife Dolores, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Ray Gori.
Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
