Obituary of Ante "Tony" Glavan

Ante "Tony" Glavan, age 79, of Naugatuck, beloved husband of Ratka Frzop Glavan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 2, 1939 in Zadar (Privlaka), Croatia, he was a son of the late Mate and Milka Kolanovic Glavan.

Ante was a very simple man; he enjoyed the little things in life. He was a hardworking man, who cared deeply for his family. He treasured the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. The unconditional love he gave, and the memories created will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 51 years, Ratka, survivors include two loving daughters, Gordana Thompson and her husband Noel of Trumbull and Nada Glavan of Allendale, NJ, three cherished grandchildren, Oliver, Bridie and Finnegan Thompson; a brother, Tome Glavan and his wife Marija of Croatia as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his grand dogs, Winnie and Reagan. Ante was recently predeceased by his sister, Nada Glavan Mustac of Croatia.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Catherine of Siena Family Center, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
