It was my privilege to provide home Podiatric services for Dr James for 8 years. Going to his home was more than just providing a service, but a social visit. We would reminence of times at UB and he would tell me of his travels. I knew Pepper and Jack who never seemed to outgrow being a puppy and always seemed happy to see me. I recall fondly a gathering at Idewild where a good number of my old teachers were an feeling a bit awkward because in spite of my medical doctorate, they were still Dr this and Dr that and I was still a kid. As an undergraduate at the University of Bridgeport, Dr. James was my professor of Invertebrate Zoology and well respected as I pursued my Masters Degree at UB.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I will definitely miss him.
