We send our heartfelt wishes for healing and immense gratitude to Fred's family for sharing him with so many lucky people, adults and the young, at the Saugatuck Rowing Club. My sons and I were so fortunate to have training with Fred during some difficult and formative years. Fred's wonderful presence and abilities were a perfect role model for what to be in a life - a positive force of goodness, honesty, decency and humor. We wish his family healing and that his spirit be close to them always.

Wow, what a shock! My dishwasher was giving me problems last week, so I put a note in my calendar to call Fred. Over the past 20 or so years he's been my go-to service person. When he lived in Fairfield, I was right around the corner so it was easy to call him. So sorry for your loss. He was one of a kind and I was honored to know him.

Dee, Haley, Elise, Drew and all of Fred's wonderful family and friends, As you know, Ken and I are deeply saddened by Fred’s death. We know you will always remember your loving memories of Fred as a wonderful husband and father, as those memories will comfort you during this very difficult time in your lives. As you look back on all the wonderful memories that you have written about and you know that he will always be with you and alive in your hearts. After your tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, you have to hold onto all the happy memories of Fred and the life you shared with him. We will always remember Fred as a good friend and wonderful neighbor. Please know that our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. We were shocked to hear about Fred. We have known Fred for fifteen years. We loved Fred , he was very caring and a great guy. He was just in our home last month servicing one of our appliances.
