Obituary of Lucia M. Jarosko
Lucia Vitello Jarosko, age 88, of Ansonia, beloved wife of the late Teofil William Jarosko, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 15, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Angelina Sciarretta Vitello. Mrs. Jarosko enjoyed her pet birds, and working in her garden. She was an avid bingo player and a Wrestling fan. She was also a former member of the Connecticut Yankee Drum and Bugle Corps.
Survivors include a son, William M. Jarosko and his wife, Barbara of Trumbull, two daughters, Karen Schumacher and her husband Steven of Ansonia and Sandra T. DelVecchio and her husband John of Stratford, a sister, Marie Abraham of Bridgeport, grandchildren, William Michael Jarosko, Sandra and Roger Morello, Michelle and Vincent DelVecchio and Charles and Christopher Poisella, a great grandson, William Michael Jarosko III as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Anthony and Mario Vitello.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
