Obituary of Dennis M. Kealey

Dennis M. Kealey, age 70, of Fairfield, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born on March 12, 1943 in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late John M. and Veronica Marion Kealey. He was the owner and operator of the former Denjos Transmission of Stratford for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed antique cars and was a boxing enthusiast. Survivors include his life partner of 20 years, Cathy Macomber of Bridgeport and her children, Candice Boyle and her husband Steve and Kelly Scofield and their children, Mackenzie, Mary-Kate, Matthew and Molly who affectionately called him Poppa. He also leaves behind two sons, Shawn and Christopher Kealey, his brothers and sister, Robert Kealey and his wife Margie, Joseph Kealey, Arlene Garwon, James Kealey, George Kealey and William Kealey and his wife Bobbie, a special nephew, Bobby Kealey, as well as several additional nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Jack and Tommy Kealey, a sister, Betty Bartovic and a nephew, Larry Bartovic. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
