"Uncle" Carmen was like another father to me, especially in those years when I would either find a good road in life, or find great trouble. He taught me responsibility and commitment. He taught me to be thoughtful when I felt frustrated. He taught me everything about horses that I didn't learn in riding lessons. He demonstrated great patience and kindness with all of us kids, but the lessons he gave me have seen me through a lifelong career with animals, and people both.
I have, and will, think of him often, and I will embrace the memory of a great man who worked tirelessly and loved unconditionally. Manny and Shirley - I'll remember him always. My heart is broken for you, and I share in your grief. My prayers are being said for all who loved him.
My deepest regards-
Alison LaVallee

Sending love and prayers during this difficult time to all who knew Carmen. I have so many memories of my childhood that include Carmen and the Pavone family. From scooping up tadpoles from his pond, helping to “break” some of the horses, being squirted with Beans’ (the goat) milk, going with him to birthday parties to help with pony rides, the smell of his van filled with old bread, sitting in the kitchen or living room with him and Mary listening to Manny play guitar, to him giving me my very first bicycle for a birthday gift one year. He lived a good life and touched so many peoples lives. Sending my sincere condolences to the family, may he rest in peace.

My heart and prayers go out to the Pavone family Carmen was a great man and had a heart of gold he would take his shirt off his back for anyone in need and never expect anything in return. Anytime you’d see him he’d have a smile on his face and always full of jokes I love you Carmen and you will be missed

My deepest sympathy to the entire Pavone family. I don't think I ever saw Carmen without a smile on his face or flirting with a pretty girl. He was an amazing and kind human being who will be missed greatly.
