Obituary of Doris E. Kruzshak
Doris E. Kruzshak, died peacefully of natural causes on December 11, 2020 while in hospice care at Jewish Senior Services. She was born Doris Marie Ehrencrona in Bridgeport to Axel Wilhelm (Bill) Ehrencrona and Edith (Kalm) Ehrencrona on April 12, 1926, attended Trumbull schools, and graduated from Bassick High School in 1944. Doris’s desire to become an Occupational Therapist led her to Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William and Mary in Virginia, Class of 1948. She married her high school sweetheart, Steven J. Kruzshak, in 1949 and settled in Trumbull. Together they owned and operated Town Hall Pharmacy in Trumbull for many years and which Doris continued to operate for several years after Steve’s death in 1987. She enjoyed an active retirement travelling and spending summers at her beloved cottage on Ossipee Lake in New Hampshire, a gathering place for family and friends for 60 years.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Lauren Kruzshak of Shelton, son, Thomas (Jennifer) Kruzshak of Falmouth Maine, her granddaughter, Brooke Barlow (Aaryn) and two great grandsons, Alexander and Jesse of Tapawera, New Zealand. She is also survived by cousins, extended family and friends whom she loved and loved her in return.
The family wishes to thank Jewish Senior Services and Chaifetz Family Hospice for their kindness and compassion towards Doris and the entire family during her final days. Due to the current pandemic, services will be private.
