Obituary of Josephine Rapice

Josephine (Fusco) Rapice, age 93 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Benjamin Rapice, Jr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021 with her family by her side. Born on April 13, 1927 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Fusco. Josephine was a graduate of Harding High School in Bridgeport, Ct.. Josephine worked as a receptionist for Physician Health Services prior to retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on many family vacations that they took over the years. However her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She also, enjoyed spending time at the Shelton senior center socializing and exercising with friends. Josephine in addition loved baking holiday cookies with her granddaughters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew her. 

Josephine is survived by her beloved children, Robert and his wife Ann of Nevada, Ronald of Bridgeport, Laurie Naiden of Beacon Falls, and Richard and his wife Kimmarie of Stratford, her seven grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Alex, Joseph, Richard John, Annette, and Ashley, and her three great grandchildren, Avery, Kaelyn, and Jane Josephine.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Monday, April 5th, 2021 from 1 – 2 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building. Inurnment will be private for the immediate family.
