Obituary of Louis F. Bové Jr.
Louis Francis Bové, Jr., age 79, beloved husband of Paula Mitchell Bové of Shelton, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on September 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Louis F. Bové, Sr. and Virginia Zawesza Bové. He was a longtime resident of Bridgeport before moving to Shelton to raise his family. He attended the University of Bridgeport and served in the United States Army Reserves. He began his career life at PerkinElmer as a Senior Buyer. He then switched careers and became the general manager at both Bridgeport Chrysler and Fitzpatrick’s Chrysler Plymouth. He also worked in the Real Estate and Insurance fields. He retired from Curran Volkswagen in Stratford in 2002. Louis enjoyed refinishing furniture and traveling with his wife to visit their children but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his beloved wife Paula of 53 years, survivors include his two loving daughters, Danielle Wolfe and her husband Patrick and Nicole Smith and her husband Mark as well as five cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Samuel, Sophie, Lucas and Claire.
Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
