I don't know why, but I just put in Gail's name and saw she had passed. Gail and I grew up together in Tonawanda and we were both active in the youth group at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, plus being in the same sorority in high school. She was always willing to play tennis with me even though I was miserable at it. She, along with Karen Koch were one of my best friends and in fact they both were bridesmaids in my wedding. Unfortunately we both left Tonawanda and eventually lost touch. Whenever I was in Tonawanda I would drive past her parents house and think of all the wonderful memories we had. When Iflew in for the 50th class reunion I had hoped she would be there. Please know she made an impact on anyone she touched. Mary Joseph Smith

My condolences to all who were touched by Ms. Sullivan, my 4th grade teacher at Zion. Although many years have passed, Ms. Sullivan has always remained in my mind for being in my corner throughout that transitional period in my youth. Her support & her genuine love for her students was apparent. Echoed by every former student that I have talked to, including my wife, she was their all-time favorite. A truly remarkable gift to us all. Blessings to her family, friends & acquaintances.

Gail… Thank you for being sweet to my girls, for loving Barb, Frank, Frankie, Jamie & Jeremy so deeply through joys & sorrows, for always being a teacher wherever you went, for being soooo great with kids everywhere, for being a woman who always spoke her truth, for following Jesus in a way that could be modeled, for loving & marrying a good man who would care for you in your darkest days, and mostly…for being my friend! So much Love, Ginny Oh I forgot!!! And for giving me all you beautiful hand-me-downs, I looked really good for about 10 years until I got bigger than you! LOL
