Obituary of Sandra Jayne Mallin
Sandra Jayne Mallin, age 81, of Shelton passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Mikula. Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 2, 1939 she was a daughter of the late Lillian (Mainiero) Warner and the late Jack Mallin. Sandra was a graduate of Syracuse University and worked as a patient advocate at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco before retiring to Mexico. Sandra relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida upon the death of her husband, before returning home to CT in 2017.
Sandra traveled extensively and had a love of all things "art". She particularly loved music. From ballet to opera, Broadway to rock and roll, Italian and Mexican music, Sandra enjoyed it all.
She will be remembered for her kind soul.
She is survived by her loving sister, Roslyn Cioffi of Stratford as well as several nephews and a niece. In addition to her husband Dick, she was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Mallin and her nephew, Christopher Mallin.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brightview Senior living, Seasons Hospice and her friend and caregiver Frances Hernandez for the care provided to Sandra.
Friends may greet the family on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A prayer service will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
