Obituary of Robert N. Lisi

The Lisi family mourns the loss of Robert (Bob) Nicholas Lisi of Bridgeport, 86, who died peacefully at St. Vincent's Medical Center on Monday, May 2, 2022. Bob was a son of the late John and Mary Caruso Lisi, and a long-time part owner of the former Lisi's Supermarket in Bridgeport. Bob served in the National Guard, worked as Director of Greater Bridgeport Housing Department, served on the Trumbull Town Council, tutored for Newtown Public Schools, and taught history part-time for Bridgeport's GED program.

Bob is survived by his children Lorrie Rodrigue and husband Michael, of Oxford; Robert John Lisi of Shelton; and Debra Lisi Myers and husband Geoff of Stoneville, NC, his brothers Dr. Richard Lisi of Westport and Dr. Kenneth Lisi of Trumbull and joins his deceased siblings Eleanor Micalizzi, John Lisi, Jr, and Anthony Lisi. Bob will also be dearly missed by his long-time partner Janet Landone of Bridgeport and her daughter Lisa Landone and partner Lorrie Wesoly, as well as Christine LaBarba, all who loved him like a father.

Bob earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Bridgeport in political science. He was known as a bright, charismatic man who deeply loved all of his grandchildren Louie Petrocelli, Nicholas Arsenian, Tiffany Petrocelli, Christopher DeGirolomo, Jon-Paul DeGirolomo, and Jesse Lee Lisi, his nieces and nephews (Butch, Jerry, Maureen, Robin, Cookie, Barbara Lynn, Elaine, Kim, Denise, Gina, Kris and Kara), and his many great nieces and nephews. Bob was a lover of music, movies, dancing, and the constitution. He was passionate about writing (often political editorials for the Bridgeport Post), tackling the New York Times crossword puzzles, and loved Jeopardy, sports, his beloved terriers over the years and the many kitties he helped to rescue.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 5th from 4-7 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. The mass and entombment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3 Landmark Square, Suite 330, Stamford, CT 06901 or at CLICK HERE: www.lls.org
