Obituary of Pauline M. Kunsch

Pauline Cappucci Kunsch, 92 years old, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Carolton Convalescent Home in Fairfield. Mrs. Kunsch was born on December 14, 1918 in Bridgeport, and was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. Mrs. Kunsch was the daughter of the late Eugene Cappucci and Concetta Vento Cappucci, who were born in Moderna, Italy.

She was one of six children and her sisters include Jean Galello, as well as the late Palma Del Vecchio, Anna Huchko, Barbara Marchetti and her brother Louis Cappucci. Mrs. Kunsch was the beloved wife of the late Richard Babe Kunsch, also of Bridgeport. They were married in August 1944 at Holy Rosary Church and had 54 wonderful years together before Mr. Kunsch passed away in 1998. During World War II, Mrs. Kunsch worked on the home front at the Canfield Rubber Factory. She continued to work for several years at King Coles and retired in 1980. Throughout her life, Mrs. Kunsch was an active member of the St. Andrews Church.

Mrs. Kunsch is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kunsch Palmer and her son-in-law, David Palmer, of Westport, Connecticut; her granddaughters, Kelley Swift and Megan Tibball of Fairfield; and her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Brendan Tibball of Fairfield; as well as her sister Jean Galello of Milford and several nieces and nephews. We thank everyone at the Carolton who took such good care of our beloved Pauline. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
