Kathy, Greg & Brian, All the Kellers are so sad to hear of Ed's passing. The Humpal Family was such a big part of their lives. Ed was so good with the kids, he treated them as well as his own kids with advice on sports and life. He was always ready to help & organize our Lakewood Estates projects. Ed, a gentleman & a scholar. Rest in Peace. Betty, Brian, Betty Lynn, Susan Cindi & Greg.

You could not meet a finer person and family. We will never forget the great, fun times we had working with you and Kathy in the concession stand at Masuk High School football games. Those great, fun times were due in a large part to you, Ed. May you rest in peace and may Heaven welcome you with open arms.

Kathy and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I remember Eddie when I was a little girl. It was always fun when we would get together with Anthony and Barb. Eddie always treated me as a friend and not just a little kid.
I remember when I found out that he was getting married. I was so disappointed it wasn't me (I was probably around 8 years old), but after meeting you I knew he made a great choice.
Again, please know that our prayers are with you. Barb and Eddie are now in good hands with our Lord.
Lenny and Diane

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Humpal's passing. They broke the mold when they made him. He was a Monroe legend and one of the all-time greats. His love for his family shined through in everything he did and said. I'm so sorry that I'll be away during the memorial service. I hope happy memories comfort all of you during this difficult time.
Deepest sympathies,
Joe and Karen Kobza

Mr. Humpal was interwoven through my childhood, from the weekends at the Lake to the nights I spent at the house on West Maiden. A generation learned to grill from watching him and getting a few treasured moments with the tongs. He was there when we played soccer, when we ran the lines for travel games and later when we got to high school, at the concession stand. His barbecue sauce was a thing of legend. The advice that he and the other Lake dads gave me when it was my time to get married may not have been “helpful” in the strictest sense, but it was well meaning and made me feel like I had joined a club (not that I was ever going to call him Ed). I am so sorry for the family’s loss, but thankful that I shared so much with you.
